So what is SMATV?

SMATV stands for ‘Satellite Master Antenna TV’ and is very similar to other aerial installations as it acts as a means of distributing TV and Radio signals. What makes SMATV unique to these other installations is the inclusion of functions and facilities at the head of the system that allows the operator to decode particular satellite channels. A SMATV Aerial and Satellite system is ideal for areas and premises such as hotels, gyms and other leisure clubs. That is where the technology has seen the highest level of demand. However, this doesn’t not mean to say that a SMATV system installation would not be beneficial in other settings. Theoretically the possibilities stretch much further.

Chapmans Electrical was established in 1925, based in Cradley Heath in the Black Country, near Birmingham, West Midlands. It is still family run some 90 years later, and our values of honesty and integrity remain unchanged, combined with a commitment to provide a quality service.
