With 90 years of experience we truly are the experts and we still adhere to our core values of honesty and integrity, combined with a commitment to provide a quality, professional service. Although a technical term, installing structured wiring is essentially installing network cabling, CAT 5, CAT 6 or fibre optic cables in your property. The network cables generally terminate at faceplates where you need them, enabling you to simply and safely connect your network devices such as computers, printers, POS & stock control systems, CCTV or media centres without having trailing network cables. We can also supply any switches, hubs or any other network equipment you require.
At Chapmans, the needs of our customer come first. We will work with you, offering advice and guidance, to assess, design and install the structured wiring layout tailored to your networking requirements and budget.
If you have a existing structured wiring and need repairs, or you’re wanting to upgrade your network and network cabling, call Chapmans. All of our work is fully guaranteed & insured and all of our engineers are fully qualified and certified, properly trained, well equipped and even CRB checked for your peace of mind.
We install, test and repair structured network cabling throughout Birmingham and the West Midlands. Beyond neighbouring areas of Dudley, Stourbridge, Halesowen, Brierley Hill, Wolverhampton and West Bromwich to cover Sutton Coldfield, Solihull, Worcester, Shrewsbury, Walsall and further afield.
Structured network cabling for your LAN is generally copper unless there is a need for higher bandwidths and uses one of a range of network cable standards, CAT 5, CAT 5e, CAT 6, CAT 6a, or CAT 7. These standards represent increasingly higher quality protection against interference and crosstalk, which allows for higher network traffic throughput, or bandwidth. CAT 6 upwards are designed for gigabit network applications, or 1000BASE-TX upwards, and are rapidly becoming the standard, but each installation is different, with different requirements.
From a single additional network connection or repair to a complete new structured network cabling installation, designed and installed with a minimum of fuss and mess. Call the professionals for your structured network cabling needs and arrange for a Chapmans engineer to visit you.
What our Customers have to say:
TV repair this morning was done by Andy and a first class job he did too. It was the booster but he sorted it all and tidied the cables for us oldies. Always good service from Chapmans whether it be buying goods or repairs. Highly recommended.
