The prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Director Robert Chapman at the Sky independent retailers “Indies 2007”, and is the satellite industry’s equivalent to an Oscar.
The winners were announced at a gala dinner at the five-star Celtic Manor Resort in Wales on September 13 2007, and the evening included a live performance from BritAward winners, the Sugarbabes.
This is not the first time the work of Chapman’s have been recognised. Almost two years have passed since we saw off competition from other Electrical stores across the Midlands to win the title of Regional Independent Retailer of the Year 2005.

Chapman’s sponsored 4 teams at the 7th Annual Charity quiz, the very successful quiz evening for The Breast Cancer Campaign and Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer.
The event divides the proceeds between these two worthy charities.
The quiz, held by Griffiths & Pegg, took place on Wednesday 14th November 2007 at the Earls Suite, Copthorne Hotel, Merry Hill.
Chapman’s Electrical was also present at a Racing Night in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind and organized by Lloyds TSB.
£3,319 was raised on the evening and Chapman’s “owned” a horse in each race. Chapman’s gathers a group of employees every year to attend different fundraising events in the local community, bringing just a minimum donation and support that can make a big difference.
Employees in management and team leadership positions have improved their working performance and brought real benefit to Chapmans through ILM Management Training programmes.
