Snowdon Conquered

If you follow us on Twitter or Facebook you can’t have missed the big build up to the daunting Three Peaks Challenge being attempted by Chapmans engineer Scott Moore and his brave friend Rikki Theodosi to raise funds for The Mary Stevens Hospice.

The massive undertaking began this Sunday with the daring duo tackling Snowdon, in Wales, at a knee aching 1085 metres. They move on next Sunday to Scafell Pike, in the Lake District, at a mere 978 metres and conclude the following Sunday, the 17th, by climbing Ben Nevis in Scotland at a terrifying 1345 metres.

They took a Chapmans flag with them & will pose for a selfie atop each mountain.

As you can see, it was a bit murky up there. Scott reports that the weather was fine until the last quarter of the climb, when they climbed up into the clouds. Both really enjoyed the climb though and the challenge and can’t wait to get their boots into the next one.

Please support them by pledging a donation on Scott’s JustGiving page here for Mary Stevens Hospice. Don’t forget to apply Gift Aid to your donation on the site. They are doing this in remembrance of Scott’s Mum’s partner who sadly passed away following a battle with a brain tumour.

Chapmans is, as ever, proudly an active member of our community and delighted to be sponsoring Scott and Rikki’s challenge. We’re thrilled to be able to help Mary Stevens again. The extraordinary service they provide within our community is beyond value.
